Overview

Slingsby 3L Pants is our most technically advanced shell pants ever made! A durable yet lightweight garment made from the highest performing materials there is. Packed with all those details, functions and features a true mountaineer will appreciate. Slingsby 3L Pants is made from Dermizax®NX fabric, providing maximum weather protection and outstanding breathability. The pants are customized and shaped according to our innovative design concept 3D In Action. This means that the different choices our designers have made in the development of the product is based on studies of athletes climbing and scrambling, and extensive material research and testing. The result is outstanding fit deliberately shaped for mountaineers, of mountaineers.

Fabric details: 3-Layer Dermizax®NX with 2-way stretch. Waterproof (water column: min. 20,000 mm), windproof and unique breathable properties. Low weight and minimal packing volume.

Pockets: Thigh pocket, with inner pocket suitable for transmitter/receiver (avalanche transceiver). The pocket is located as far down the thigh as possible without preventing movement and to avoid interference between transmitter/receiver.

Gaiter: Fixed internal gaiter. Friction elastic and adjustable Velcro opening for different types of boots. Buttonhole with option to insert elastic on the inside of the lower pant leg.

Ventilation: 2-way ventilation zip from the waist and down (can function as a “drop-seat”). To prevent chafing of the hip bone when carrying a backpack, the ventilation zip starts a few centimeters below the waist. Velcro adjustment at the waist provides extra width for optimal ventilation during intense activity.

Additional features: High-waisted back panel. Suspender loops suitable for Slingsby Suspenders. Integrated belt loop at the rear (ladies). Recco® reflector on left leg. The pant legs are shortened at the front to provide a better fit when using boots. Reinforcement at the bottom of the pant leg. Reflective detail.

Recco

RECCO® is a maintenance-free reflector which helps search and rescue crews during searches for people who have been caught in an avalanche. At Bergans we have chosen to sew in a RECCO® search reflector in some of our products. This neither guarantees that you will be found, nor that you will not be caught in an avalanche. But where a RECCO® searcher is in place, the reflector on the garments can be of good help for search and rescue crews. The RECCO® reflector is maintenance-free and does not require activation. It functions as a transporter of radio waves, cannot activate alarm systems, and will not be destroyed by de-magnetization.

Dermizax NX

Dermizax® NX is a smart nonporous membrane which offers high waterproofness and extremely good moisture permeability.

Designed to provide maximum protection against all kinds of demanding activities and weather conditions while remaining as comfortable as possible.
