Long live the product!

We at Bergans want to give our products the longest possible life. We design and develop high-quality products with a long lifespan, at the same time we want to contribute to ensuring that our products have as long a life as possible after they have left the store shelf. Therefore, we offer circular services such as repair, collection and second-hand sales, redesign and rental.

  • Submit the form here with a description of the product you are sending to us, and what you want repaired. Remember that the product must be freshly washed. You will receive a reply with a case number.

  • Send the product you want repaired to our sewing studio: Bergans Fritid AS, Hagaløkkveien 13, 1383 Asker.

You can also deliver the product directly to one of our stores.

The products must be clean

Products that you send for repair must be clean. We have a high standard for the working conditions of our employees; and our good employees in the sewing room will not have to deal with dirty products. Dirt and grime can prevent us from doing the repair properly, and it can also destroy our sewing machines. Dirty clothes will be returned without repair.

Systua - The Sewing Room

In our sewing room in Asker in Norway, experienced professionals work who fix most things. We change zips, patch holes, repair straps and belt buckles on rucksacks, sew up tears in tents and sleeping bags. Among other things. We also have a large stock of spare parts.

Repair time

Repairs at Bergans usually take around 14 days from when we receive the product until you have it back with you. In high season it may take a little longer.

Replacement of original parts

When we repair your product, we always try to use original spare parts and materials. If we don't have them, we choose what is most similar. We replace defective zips in the same color until the products are 2 years old. After that, we cannot promise the same colour, but will change to the closest colour, possibly black if you prefer this.

If you want to repair yourself, but are missing parts, you are welcome to contact us. We have a large selection of spare parts for our products. Send an e-mail to kundesenter@bergans.no and we will help you! If you want tips and tricks for repairs, we have some videos here.

Repair and Complaints

If we see that the product falls under the Consumer Protection Act, the repair costs will of course be covered. If the product cannot be repaired, we will replace it or refund it. Read more about the warranty.

Repair Since 1908

In the past, it was common practice to repair all clothing and equipment with faults and defects. At Bergans, we've been conducting repairs on our products since our inception in 1908; customers could send in their repairs directly to our factory in Nord-Odalen. We have maintained this tradition up to the present day and continuously work on further developing our services. Even when our factory burned down in the late 1980s, we retained our skilled seamstresses, so today we have a well-functioning sewing workshop.
