Overview

Just as lightweight, just as technical, even more versatile! The 6th version of the Rondane backpacks has a totally new look and a more durable, PFAS free, Cordura® textile. The W indicates that this pack is specially designed to fit female anatomy. Its clean design and practical features makes it as good for travelling as for hiking adventures. Rondane V6 W 30 features Bergans FlowPanel to ensure optimal airflow between you and the pack, giving you a more comfortable experience out there. The big zippered opening makes it super easy to keep track of all your stuff. Rondane V6 30 is also equipped with several pockets of all sizes – at the top front, along the sides and on the padded hip belt. On the outside of the pack you will find attachment points for trekking poles or ice axe. The pack is hydration system compatible.

PFAS-free

Bergans products with water-repellent functionality have no intentionally added PFAS in the surface treatment. PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are a large group of chemicals that have traditionally been widely used in water-repellent DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatments. The treatment causes water and dirt to bead up and roll off the surface rather than penetrate the fabric. PFAS break down very slowly in the environment and are therefore often referred to as “forever chemicals”. They can accumulate over time, both in the environment and in living organisms, and several PFAS compounds have been shown to pose a risk to human health and the environment. Since 2016, Bergans has been actively working to phase out PFAS-containing substances from our products and replace them with PFAS-free treatments. All membranes we use are already PFAS-free. The water-repellent performance of the outer fabric will gradually diminish with use. As a result, the outer fabric may absorb more moisture, which can reduce breathability and comfort – even though the garment remains waterproof. To maintain the garment’s performance over time, we recommend regular washing and re-impregnate when needed. Read more about how to wash and re-impregnate your garment here.
