Vega 2L Shell Jacket is a technical 2-layer shell built for hiking adventures yet styled with feminine and modern lines that make it just as suitable for daily wear. With the Bega Membrane Balanced 10k/10k fabric, it provides dependable weather protection and breathability. Designed for comfort during activity, the jacket is fully lined with mesh at the top of the back to enhance ventilation and airflow. A fixed, adjustable hood with stiffened brim keeps out wind and rain, and practical back ventilation allows extra airflow when needed. Zippered hand pockets with protective flaps and a spacious inner chest pocket provides safe storage. The regular, straight fit includes shaped elbows and cord adjustments at the waist, hem, and sleeves for a customizable fit. Blending trail-ready function with everyday style, the Vega 2L Shell Jacket is the perfect crossover piece.

The product contains bluesign® approved main fabric, lining, moisture absorber material and trimmings.

Hood: Fixed hood with rear adjustment and a stiffened brim for structured shape and functional shading.

Pockets: Zipped front pockets with flaps and water-repellent zippers. Spacious internal chest pocket with snap-button closure.

Ventilation: Back ventilation with snap-button closure for adjustable airflow. Mesh fabric beneath the loose outer layer enhances breathability.

Additional features: Cord tightening on sleeves for adjustable fit. Shaped elbows for improved mobility. Front zipper protected by flaps above and below for added weather resistance. Internal cord tightening at the waistband allows for a more tailored silhouette if desired. Bottom hem cord adjustment for a customizable fit.

PFAS-free

Bergans products with water-repellent functionality have no intentionally added PFAS in the surface treatment. PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are a large group of chemicals that have traditionally been widely used in water-repellent DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatments. The treatment causes water and dirt to bead up and roll off the surface rather than penetrate the fabric. PFAS break down very slowly in the environment and are therefore often referred to as “forever chemicals”. They can accumulate over time, both in the environment and in living organisms, and several PFAS compounds have been shown to pose a risk to human health and the environment. Since 2016, Bergans has been actively working to phase out PFAS-containing substances from our products and replace them with PFAS-free treatments. All membranes we use are already PFAS-free. The water-repellent performance of the outer fabric will gradually diminish with use. As a result, the outer fabric may absorb more moisture, which can reduce breathability and comfort – even though the garment remains waterproof.
