Overview

Protective, technical, and highly durable, these ski bibs are made for demanding ski adventures both on- and off-piste. Built with a robust 3-layer shell fabric, they offer weather protection and breathability, while a softer stretch panel at the back ensures comfort and freedom of movement. Smart details like the drop-seat function with 3-way ventilation zippers, articulated knees, and multiple practical pockets make long ski days easier and more enjoyable. Reinforced panels at the inner and bottom legs add durability where you need it most, and the relaxed fit accommodates layering for backcountry touring or cold resort days. Crafted with PFAS-free, bluesign®-approved materials and technical features such as snow gaiters, a RECCO® reflector, and adjustable suspenders, these bib pants are purpose-built for skiers who want performance, protection, and practicality in one versatile garment.

Fabric details: 3-layer material featuring a 100% polyester face fabric with PFAS-free water-repellent treatment, Bega Membrane Balanced™ and 100% polyamide backing. This construction offers a waterproof rating of 10,000 mm and a breathability of 10,000 g/m²/24h. Bega Membrane Balanced™ is a technical shell construction designed for various outdoor activities, providing comfort and protection from the elements during moderate intensity levels. Breathable softshell panels at the lower back enhance comfort and flexibility. Reinforced fabric at the bottom hem and additional reinforcement inside the leg increase durability. Soft, quick-drying moisture-absorbing material inside the waistband for enhanced comfort. Contains bluesign® approved reinforcement fabric, pocket lining and trimmings.

Pockets: Zipped thigh pockets with volume fold for added capacity, with the right pocket featuring an internal mesh pocket and key hook for secure storage. Zipped chest pocket for easy access to essentials.

Gaiter: Fixed elastic snow gaiter with gripper tape to keep snow out and ensure a secure fit over boots.

Ventilation: Drop seat function with 3-way ventilation zippers and snap button closure, allowing easy access and adjustable airflow. 2-way front zipper with protective flap and snap button for secure closure and added weather protection.

Additional features: Adjustable suspenders for a personalized fit. Articulated knees for improved freedom of movement. Water-repellent ventilation and hand pocket zippers with zip pullers designed for easy grip and accessible operation while wearing gloves. RECCO® reflector integrated on the bottom leg. Seamless gusset at the thigh area to reduce friction and chafing. Elastic, fixed snow gaiter with gripper tape to keep snow out and ensure a secure fit.

PFAS-free

All our products marked with the PFAS-free logo use a water repellent treatment that is free of PFAS substances.

PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) is a group of more than 10.000 substances also known as fluorocarbons. They build up in nature as they do not degrade. In greater concentrations, they are proven to pose a hazard to both human health and the environment.

PFAS has been common to use for the so-called “Durable Water Repellent” finish (DWR): It means that water bounces off the surface rather than being absorbed by the fabric and making it wet. Using PFAS has been an effective treatment to achieve a durable water repellency for waterproof fabrics, but also other applications like ski waxes or food packaging.

Since these chemicals have shown to be harmful for both people and the environment, Bergans is working to phase out all fabrics containing PFAS finish and replace with more environmentally friendly, PFAS-free treatments. All the membranes we use are already free for PFAS. You can read more on PFAS and how we work to eliminate these.

A significant part of the challenge of using alternatives to PFAS lies in the lower durability of these water repellent solutions. That means that using a waterproof garment with a PFAS-free finishing requires you to re-impregnate these more often than before, to achieve a good water-repellent functionality also over time and after many washes. Anyhow, please always consider where and when it’s necessary to reduce environmental impact.
