Overview

Rabot Alpine 3L Shell Pants are designed to protect the lower body on multi-day hikers and ski touring enthusiasts, regardless of season. This 3-layer hard shell pant are a true allrounder giving you excellent mobility and all the essential features you need. All of it wrapped in a regular fit tailored for layering. The robust and clean design includes a durable fabric construction with Bega Membrane Breathe™ technology to make the pant waterproof and windproof, still breathable. Long two-way ventilation zips on the outside of the leg let you obtain an effective airflow from the inside of the pants and out. These zippers also allow you to easily put the pants on and take them off while weari ... ng boots. The lower hem is adjustable in width and fits with hiking boots with crampons and ski touring boots. PFAS-free

Bergans products with water-repellent functionality have no intentionally added PFAS in the surface treatment. PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are a large group of chemicals that have traditionally been widely used in water-repellent DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatments. The treatment causes water and dirt to bead up and roll off the surface rather than penetrate the fabric. PFAS break down very slowly in the environment and are therefore often referred to as “forever chemicals”. They can accumulate over time, both in the environment and in living organisms, and several PFAS compounds have been shown to pose a risk to human health and the environment. Since 2016, Bergans has been actively working to phase out PFAS-containing substances from our products and replace them with PFAS-free treatments. All membranes we use are already PFAS-free. The water-repellent performance of the outer fabric will gradually diminish with use. As a result, the outer fabric may absorb more moisture, which can reduce breathability and comfort – even though the garment remains waterproof.
