Rabot Alpine 3L Shell Jacket is built for serious outdoor enthusiasts, offering rugged durability in a robust, 3-layer hard-shell construction. Designed as the perfect companion for multi-day hikes and ski tours, this all-around jacket combines mobility and essential features with a regular fit ideal for layering. The durable fabric with Bega Membrane Breathe™ technology is both waterproof and windproof, while remaining breathable. Long underarm ventilation zippers, paired with the membrane’s breathability, provide effective airflow to manage moisture. The ekstra length on the underarm ventialtion zippers even allow you slide your arms out of them and wear the jacket more like a vest. Perfect when you need the protection of a shell jacket but engage in high activity that requires full ventilation. Hood: Climbing helmet-compatible, snug fitted and fixed hood. Dual, hidden adjustment system in front and back. Stiffened brim.

Pockets: Zipped hand pockets. Zipped inner pocket. The design prevents hand pockets from interfering with climbing harness or hip belt when carrying a backpack.

Ventilation: Long 2-way underarm zip vents with two sliders. Double function so you can put your arms through the openings and wear the jacket as a vest on warmer days.

PFAS-free

Bergans products with water-repellent functionality have no intentionally added PFAS in the surface treatment. PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are a large group of chemicals that have traditionally been widely used in water-repellent DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatments. The treatment causes water and dirt to bead up and roll off the surface rather than penetrate the fabric. PFAS break down very slowly in the environment and are therefore often referred to as “forever chemicals”. They can accumulate over time, both in the environment and in living organisms, and several PFAS compounds have been shown to pose a risk to human health and the environment. Since 2016, Bergans has been actively working to phase out PFAS-containing substances from our products and replace them with PFAS-free treatments. All membranes we use are already PFAS-free. The water-repellent performance of the outer fabric will gradually diminish with use. As a result, the outer fabric may absorb more moisture, which can reduce breathability and comfort – even though the garment remains waterproof.
