Alpinist Pro 120 is the ultimate backpack designed to carry the heaviest loads in the most rugged environments. This newest version boasts unparalleled durability and functionality, making it the perfect companion for serious adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts. Its rock-solid design features the brand new SPINE™️QSS carrying system that allows the pack to move with your body, allowing you to walk more naturally and with less effort. The soft and cushioning 3D mesh material inside the harness, back, and hip belt adds to the comfort, while the breathable open mesh FlowPanel™️optimizes ventilation. Proven solid materials from top to bottom, with reinforcement fabric on exposed sections, increases durability, and the ballistic weave ensures long-lasting performance. The Alpinist Pro 120 offers versatile storage options, including two large zippered and detachable side pockets that can be converted into a day pack or sling. The large front opening and roll top provide easy access to your gear, while the detachable top lid features multiple pockets for organization. The hip belt includes two zippered pockets and sled attachment points, enhancing stability and convenience. Additional features include glove-friendly buckles, numerous PLUS system fastening points, and YKK zippers. The harness and hip belt are detachable and different sizes are sold separately, allowing for complete personal sizing and easy replacement if needed. The weight is transferred by means of shock absorbers that reduce the strain. The back lenght can be adjusted with Bergans FlowPanel™️. Adjustable top tension straps. The soft and cushioning 3D mesh material inside the harness, back, and hip belt adds to the comfort, while the breathable open mesh FlowPanel™️optimizes ventilation.

Pack: The large front opening gives you access to everything you have with you. Roll top opening.

Pockets: Two big zippered and detachable side pockets (7 L each side pocket) with the possibility to fasten skis, hiking poles or fishing rods behind. The side pockets can be converted into a day pack/sling. Two pockets in top lid. Two hip belt pockets. Bottle compatible hip belt pocket.

Hip belt: Comfortable hip belt with a wide range of motion. Sled attachment points. Stabilizing straps that improve stability by pulling the pack closer to your body. Two zippered pockets. PFAS-free

All our products marked with the PFAS-free logo use a water repellent treatment that is free of PFAS substances.

PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) is a group of more than 10.000 substances also known as fluorocarbons. They build up in nature as they do not degrade. In greater concentrations, they are proven to pose a hazard to both human health and the environment.

PFAS has been common to use for the so-called “Durable Water Repellent” finish (DWR): It means that water bounces off the surface rather than being absorbed by the fabric and making it wet. Using PFAS has been an effective treatment to achieve a durable water repellency for waterproof fabrics, but also other applications like ski waxes or food packaging.

Since these chemicals have shown to be harmful for both people and the environment, Bergans is working to phase out all fabrics containing PFAS finish and replace with more environmentally friendly, PFAS-free treatments. All the membranes we use are already free for PFAS. You can read more on PFAS and how we work to eliminate these.

A significant part of the challenge of using alternatives to PFAS lies in the lower durability of these water repellent solutions. That means that using a waterproof garment with a PFAS-free finishing requires you to re-impregnate these more often than before, to achieve a good water-repellent functionality also over time and after many washes. Anyhow, please always consider where and when it’s necessary to reduce environmental impact.
