A high-performance shell combo! Designing a technical shell garment for ski touring it is all about finding the sweet spot between light weight, weather protection and ventilation on one side, and durability and detailing on the other. On the Senja 3L Pants we have balanced out the requirements by combining two different types of the excellent shell material, Dermizax®NX. A lighter quality covers the back calves and upper front, and a more sturdy, durable and protective quality is placed on the seat, thighs, knee and front leg. Both of them offer excellent weather protection and wicking abilities. (water column = min. 20 000 mm / wicking = more than 30 000 g/m2/24 hour). Long vent zips with three pullers along the leg sides, makes it easy to tune in the optimal level of ventilation. These zippers also make it possible to take the pants on and off with your boots on. Velcro adjustment flaps at the waist provides easy tuning of the waistline, even with gloves on. Senja 3L Pants are also equipped with safety attachment loop in the inner pocket, zippered front pockets and fixed internal gaiter.
Fabric
Combination of two different 3-Layer Dermizax®NX fabrics, where the more durable fabric is placed on exposed sections where most wear and tear occur. Waterproof (water column: min. 20,000 mm), windproof and unique breathable properties. Comfortable and quick-drying moisture absorption material inside waistband. Product contains bluesign® APPROVED fabrics and trimmings, which ensures responsible chemical handling in production.
Ventilation
Long side zips from below the waistband with three sliders for optimal level of ventilation and to facilitate taking the pant on and off even with your boots on.
Pockets
Zippered thigh pockets. The right thigh pocket has a pleat to add more volume. Small elastic inner pocket with a safety attachment loop. The design ensures that front pockets don't interfere with the climbing harnesses or hip belt when carrying a backpack.
Additional features
Elastic band with Velcro flap in waist. Belt loops and suspender loops. Articulated knee sections. Panel construction in crotch for less friction and chafing at thigh area. Reinforcement at the bottom of the pant leg and extra reinforcement on inside of the pant leg. Flap on bottom hem with snap buttons to adjust the bottom width.
