  5. How to wash backpacks

Yes, backpacks can be washed. If you want to be on the safe side, we recommend washing by hand at a maximum of 30°C, but continue reading for advice on machine washing.

How to wash by hand

1. Before washing it, turn the backpack upside down and shake or vacuum it

2. Fill a large basin with lukewarm water, max 30°C

3. Use a gentle detergent

4. Submerge the backpack

5. If necessary, give it a gentle scrub with a cloth, brush, or sponge

6. Rinse the backpack thoroughly, i.e. using the shower

7. Dry off the backpack with a towel

8. Hang the backpack to dry, upside down (do not use a tumble dryer)

Washing machine

If you are absolutely sure that all the materials in the backpack can withstand machine washing, then you can go ahead. If the backpack has washing instructions, follow these, but if not, you have to assess the materials and keep this in mind:

1. The backpack should not have any leather details

2. Remove any inserted frames (note that there may be different solutions for different backpacks, and it may be challenging to remove and replace frames)

3. Wash at 30° C

4. Avoid spinning

We do not recommend using stain removers, bleach, or similar products as we cannot guarantee the results, and they can be an unnecessary strain on the environment.

Now you know how to wash your backpack. This will extend the life of your pack, and it will still accompany you on all your adventures, for years to come.

If you have any questions, our customer service will be happy to help you!

Good luck!
