Bergans Fritid AS (org. no. 960 400 917) and other companies in the Bergans group respect the privacy of all of you who visit our websites, regardless of whether you are a customer, whether you just stop by to look at our products, or whether you visit our websites for other reasons.

This privacy policy describes our policy for processing personal data that you register through our website at www.bergans.com.

If you have questions regarding this declaration, our privacy policy in general, or other matters related to this declaration, or if you wish to withdraw a consent given via our websites, delete previous registrations, or have other measures carried out to which you do not have direct access to, we ask you to contact us by e-mail personvern@bergans.no.

The purpose of collecting personal data on our websites:

The information we collect via our website is only used for the purpose that is clearly stated in the information on the page you register via. This is per Today:

  • Registration of orders and payments, processing of orders, and delivery of goods ordered through our online store
  • Dispatch of newsletters
  • Sending of SMS
  • Processing of inquiries to our customer centre
  • Data for personalization of page content and offers (on/off when registering, or on my page)

Your personal data will only be used for the specified purpose(s). The information will be deleted from our system when your request has been processed, unless you have consented to us storing information for other purposes, for example sending out newsletters. In that case, we will at least store your name and your e-mail address further for this purpose. Necessary information will be stored/archived for longer periods when this is necessary to comply with public laws and regulations as stated in e.g. the Purchase Act and the Accounting Act.

What kind of information is recorded?

Examples of information that is registered (we only ask for the information that is necessary for us to be able to respond to your inquiry. The scope may therefore vary)

After you have given your consent, we will collect some information to provide you with relevant offers and information. The information we collect is:

  • E-mail address for sending newsletters. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking on the report me link at the bottom of the newsletter.
  • Your mobile number for sending SMS. You can unsubscribe from our SMS service at any time by following the instructions in the SMS sent.

For all purposes we record:

  • E-mail address If you shop online, we also ask for:

Delivery address with postal code and post office Your mobile number So that the shipping company can contact you regarding the delivery When you pay for goods in the online shop, or for booking fees for trips, you are sent to our payment partner Klarna, who handles your payment card details in a secure and approved way. In most places where you can register, you also have the option to ask to be on the list as a recipient of newsletters. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the link at the bottom of the newsletter.

Who gets access to this information?

This information is only used by Bergans Fritid AS and subsidiaries. The information will not be forwarded outside our control, nor will it be used for purposes other than those stated and to which you have given your consent. If we want to use the information for something else, we ask first. However, this does not stand in the way of us engaging subcontractors to carry out parts of the data processing, e.g. a provider of online shopping services, a payment service provider and the like. We only use subcontractors who operate within the EU/EEA area or who through other agreements and obligations are approved to process personal data in the EU/EEA area. All our subcontractors are bound by data processor agreements that strictly regulate how and under what circumstances the data is to be processed.

Storage and storage

Information registered on our online forms is stored as long as it is needed to be able to process your request or serve you with the services and activities you have agreed to participate in. Mercantile information related to sales is stored to the extent and for as long as it is necessary to comply with public requirements and orders such as e.g. requirements according to the Purchase Act and the Accounting Act.

Right to access, correction and deletion

You can view your information and correct it at any time by logging in under the link "My Page". If it has been a long time since we have seen you, we will ask you to verify your details when you log in. We will inform you about changes to this privacy policy and other relevant changes the next time you are logged in. You have the opportunity at any time to withdraw one or more consents regarding different uses of the information, or request that the information be deleted. Right to withdraw consent

If you have given consent to treatments and wish to withdraw them, you can easily do so via "My page". If you are not registered as a user, but wish to withdraw consent, this is done either by following instructions in communications we send out, e.g. newsletter, or by sending a request for this to personvern@bergans.no.

When you contact us to have your data changed, deleted and/or transferred, we may ask for a clear confirmation before the request is implemented. We do this to protect you against identity theft, incorrect changes due to name similarity and other negative consequences that may arise from inaccurate identification of your information. Such confirmation can be via e-mail to your registered e-mail address or SMS to your registered mobile phone.

Complain

If you believe that your information has been registered on an incorrect basis, is being used contrary to your interests, or is being used in a way that may cause unreasonable negative consequences for you as a person, you have the right to bring the matter up to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
