- Product description
2 ½-layer waterproof, windproof and very lightweight shell jacket in Dermizax® fabric with 3D-backing. 3D-backing makes the fabric softer, more flexible and offers better wicking properties than a normal 3-layer jacket. Functions such as underarm zip vents allow you to regulate your body temperature depending on your level of activity, and a climbing-helmet-compatible fixed hood with integrated adjustment offers you better protection from the elements. Intelligently placed pockets allow you access even when using a climbing harness or carrying a backpack, and the pockets also work as extra ventilation when opened. Small details like shoulder seams being moved to the upper part of the back to increase comfort and prevent wear and tear when carrying a backpack, and concealed one-hand drawstring at the hem via the front pockets to prevent the cords from interfering with the climbing harness or when carrying a backpack, make the Miendalstind suitable for active mountaineering. This is a jacket to have in your backpack for sudden changes in the weather.
Waterproof (water column: min. 20,000 mm), windproof and lightweight Dermizax ®material with 3D backing. This fabric it is softer, more flexible and has a higher wicking ability than a usual 3-layer fabric. The reason is the new 3D-backing which is a further development of 2½-layer, where there is not a complete layer of backing laminated onto the fabric. The superior durability of our 3-layer fabrics is not achieved, but lightweight 2½-layer shell clothing is not intended for daily use. The jacket has great packability and is perfect to bring in your backpack for any sudden change in weather.
Fixed, adjustable hood, climbing helmet compatible.
Diagonal underarm zip vents.
Front pockets in mesh for optimum breathability and ventilation. Small mobile phone pocket within left front pocket. The design ensures that the front pockets don’t interfere with a climbing harness or the hip belt when carrying a backpack.
The jacket is shorter at the front than the back to prevent interference with hip flexor movements. The shoulder seams have been moved to the upper part of the back to increase comfort and prevent wear when carrying a backpack. The jacket is designed to allow the use of a insulating layer underneath (down/synthetics). Articulated elbows for increased freedom of movement. Extra wide opening at the wrists to pull the jacket over the gloves. Velcro wrist adjustment on sleeves. Concealed one-hand elastic drawstring at hem via front pockets. Extended back. Reflective details.
