Sigurd Felde

Sigurd Felde was born and raised with the mountains as his playground. With over 20 years’ experience as a geologist and mountain guide (UIAGM/Nortind), the mountains have also become his workplace. Sigurd also works as a lecturer, instructor and guide at Norgesguidene AS. He is very fond of finding routes himself through first ascents, plotting new routes and identifying new descents. He has skied on every continent in the world and could brag about (though he never does) several first ascents in Canada, Pakistan and Patagonia. On Sigurd’s track record you will find ascents and achievements such as:

  • Ama Dablam
  • First attempt on K2 (2005)
  • Trollveggen (the Troll Wall) in the winter
  • Vettisfossen waterfall
  • Pawar Himal (first ascent)
  • Monte Fitz Roy, Patagonia
  • Great Trango Tower
