SEA & SKI
21 - 25 March 2012
This is the ultimate trip for those who would like to go randonee skiing! Ski into the world’s most beautiful sunset while you enjoy the view of the fjord all the way down to the shore. Hurtigruten will ferry you to untouched powder snow, precipitous peaks and mountains. Four days in the wild and uncompromising nature of Northern Norway – this is a trip you will never forget!
The first stop is Kvaløya island in Tromsø, the favourite haunt of the local randonee enthusiasts. However, as Kvaløya offers many amazing routes, there is a good chance that we will descend the mountain side completely on our own. Since Kvaløya is an island, we will probably be able to ski all the way down to the shore. After a long day of skiing we will enjoy some fine dining onboard Hurtigruten while we head towards «the land of adventure».
Lofoten is at its most magnificent in winter, with stunning white mountains surrounded by the blue ocean for as far as the eye can see.
The trip you will be offered here cannot be described in words, this is something that must be experienced! This type of nature does not have an equal anywhere in the world, so it is easy to see why Lofoten has been nicknamed 'the land of adventure'. Alpine mountains are exploding out of the ocean in every direction, and we will explore one of them!
Afterwards we head to the Helgeland Coast and the area surrounding the Svartisen glaciers, a well-kept secret near the Arctic Circle. In Glomfjord, mountains reaching up to 1,430 metres above sea level offer magnificent views, and here we will be perfectly alone! On a good day, the peaks allow you to see as far as Træna, far out in the ocean. It is easy to become spellbound by these spectacular surroundings and the way that the unique landscape is enveloped by the ocean.
In order to offer you the best trip possible, we are cooperating with the very best in the business; Whiteblue and Norgesguidene.
